22x30" Acrylic on gallery wrapped canvas. My favorite femal artist of all time, Frida Kahlo! I had so much fun on this commemorative piece of Frida. I worked from a classic photo of her and really ran with floral patterns on this piece. She often wore such colorful, eccentric clothes with bright ribbons in her hair, which inspired my pattern choices in this painting. I put big pink roses in her hair and adorned her with gold and silver jewelry. Her dress is a blue broccade and the background is inspired by an Asian garden motif from a vintage wallpaper I found. I love the bright greens ad pinks in this piece. This is hands down my most favorite painting of the summer...I can hardly part with her!
